Did
you know one out of five adults in Niagara County
cannot read this sentence?
One
fifth of the adult population of the United States cannot
read well enough to cope successfully as workers, parents,
and
citizens.
Literacy
Volunteers of Niagara County (LVNC) has
been teaching adults to read, write, and speak English
for over forty-one
years. LVNC offers a free literacy program for
adults.
Free, confidential, individualized instruction by well-trained volunteers
is an effective means of teaching adult nonreaders.
