One fifth of the adult population of the United States cannot read well enough to cope successfully as workers, parents, and citizens.

Literacy Volunteers of Niagara County (LVNC) has been teaching adults to read, write, and speak English for over forty-five years. LVNC offers a free literacy program for adults. Free, confidential, individualized instruction by well-trained volunteers is an effective means of teaching adult nonreaders.

Change Someone's Life. Teach an Adult to Read. Literacy Volunteers of Niagara County invites you to join us in helping people improve their lives. Anyone who can speak, read and write English well can be a tutor.
